Neuheiten Herbst 2017
We presented our fall novelties 2017 on Maison et Objet Paris!
Maison et Objet September is the ideal occassion to present our fall novelties to the public. We’re delighted to show you 3 new product ranges in our outdoor collection, and 1 brand new product in our indoor collection.
WICKED by Alain Gilles
The WICKED collection is the result of the collaboration of Alain Gilles and Vincent Sheppard for the 5x5 project at the Interieur Kortrijk fair, end of 2016. They partnered up to reinvent Wicker as we know it.
The whole design process was all about playing with the construction logics of rattan seats in a contemporary and striking manner. By creating an unexpectedly light and airy shape, Alain Gilles managed to shed a new light onto the traditional wicker furniture like we used to know it. Combining the warm wicker material with the cold but trendy steel look, he aimed to create a discussion between craftwork on the one hand and industrial processes on the other.
The original design of the WICKED collection was a combination of light, natural wicker, with a contrasting dark green frame. On Maison et Objet September, a brand-new colour combination was presented: Taupe/Charcoal. A warm, greyish tone of wicker and black metal frame transform the collection in a versatile design collection that will match with any terrace, patio, garden or conservatory.
The collection consists of a lounge chair, a sofa, a coffee table and a side table. The lounge chair and sofa are made of polyethylene Wicker and powder coated galvanized steel. The table tops of the side and coffee table are fine sanded solid teak. All pieces are fit for any weather condition and can be left outside all year long.
“Classical rattan seats typically have a structure made of thicker rattan parts and a skin made of much thinner woven rattan, both of which are always heavily intertwined. The idea behind the Wicked collection was to treat both as separate elements made out of different materials in order to reveal the structure and create a discussion between both elements.”

We were thrilled to show you our bestselling Loop collection in the new, vibrant colour 'Moss'! We hope you love it as much as we do. The bold, green colour turns our Loop collection into an audacious eye-catcher. The Loop collection includes a dining chair, lounge chair, footrest, chaise longue, sofa, side table and coffee table. With their powder coated aluminum frame, the chairs are incredibly light weight and easy to move around. You can choose from 4 different colours: Moss, Black, Beige/Stonewhite and Taupe. With the exception of the chaise longue and footrest, which don’t yet exist in Moss, all models are available in the 4 colours. The Loop collection can be left outside all year long!
The Otto footstools in crochet can be used indoors and outdoors. They're available in three different colours: Moss, Taupe and Charcoal. Made of rope, they combine perfectly with the Loop collection, but can be used to complement many other Vincent Sheppard outdoor models as well. The covers are machine washable and are fit for any weather condition.
GROOVE by Alain Gilles
The GROOVE side tables in marble and oak were designed by Brussels-based designer Alain Gilles.
GROOVE is a collection of side tables in different sizes and materials, designed to interact perfectly with each other. Thanks to the graphic ‘grooves’ in the marble or wooden top, the tables have been given a specific alignment and direction, which allows to create a dialogue between the lines, heights and materials of the tables.
You can customize your set of tables exactly to your own taste, as you can choose between a top in dark Nero Marquina marble, light Carrara marble or a natural oak wood. Add a touch of gold by choosing one of the marble tops with golden grooves!
The tables come in three different shapes, each with another height and diameter. Their base is made of thick folded metal sheets for a bold look. By either combining different sizes in the same material for a subtle result, or by mixing and matching table tops in different materials and finishes for a more contrasting combination, you can create a table set that is in perfect harmony with your own interior and style.
