A memorable interior is rarely the result of following trends. Instead, it reflects the people who live in it, evolving naturally over time through carefully chosen pieces, personal stories and thoughtful details.
We asked our co-owner and artistic director Coralie Claeys how to craft an interior with character and lasting appeal. Discover her view on interiors and be inspired to integrate some of her tips into your space.
One of the biggest misconceptions in interior design is that everything needs to match perfectly. In reality, the most interesting homes are often the ones that have evolved gradually. As your life changes, your home changes with it. Rooms take on new purposes, and furniture collected over the years creates a natural mix of old and new. A vintage side table paired with a contemporary lounge chair, or an inherited object displayed alongside modern pieces, tells a more authentic story than a perfectly coordinated interior.
Quality craftsmanship has a lasting impact on how we experience our homes. Beautifully made furniture not only offers superior comfort and durability, but also develops character over time. Rather than frequently replacing major pieces, invest in designs that can endure for years.
Timeless pieces form the foundation of an interior. While accessories, textiles and decorative accents can easily be updated to reflect changing tastes, well-crafted furniture remains relevant and beautiful for decades.
It's important to stay authentic and tell your own story.

Many people hesitate to introduce bold shades, fearing they will quickly tire of them. Yet a carefully chosen contrasting colour can make a room feel more balanced and alive. Sometimes it is precisely those seemingly imperfect combinations that create the most natural and memorable interiors.
Our connection to nature plays an important role in how we experience our surroundings.
Research consistently shows that natural elements can contribute to a greater sense of wellbeing, making interiors feel calmer, warmer and more inviting.
Plants are perhaps the most obvious way to introduce nature indoors, but they are only part of the story. Natural materials such as wood, rattan and linen add texture and warmth, while organic shapes help soften architectural lines and create visual harmony.
Lighting is one of the most powerful tools in interior design. Still, many homes rely heavily on ceiling lights and bright spotlights, resulting in spaces that feel functional but lack atmosphere.
Creating ambience doesn't require complicated technology, a floor lamp, a table lamp or a single pendant lamp can completely transform a room. The result is a warmer, more inviting environment that encourages people to slow down and feel at home.
